Magical Fall Wedding at St. Michael’s Vineyard

Warm rust tones, soft cream florals, vineyard views, and the whimsical charm of St. Michael's Vineyard at Stone Gables Estate set the scene for this cozy fall wedding in Central Pennsylvania.

From an outdoor garden ceremony beneath a flower-covered gazebo to a chandelier-lit dance party, the entire day felt relaxed, romantic, and full of personality with playful details like embroidered sneakers and vinyl record-inspired decor (a music-lovers dream!).

Aubrey Schanz Photography captured every part of the day beautifully, and St. Michael’s Vineyard gave her no shortage of backdrops to work with. Add in the bride and groom and a wedding party who clearly wasn’t afraid to have a little fun in front of the camera, and the result was a gallery full of both beautiful portraits and genuine moments.

The details from this wedding felt really intentional, perfectly balanced between romantic and playful. The warm rust tones, creams, soft whites, and earthy neutrals gave everything that perfect early fall feel without leaning too hard into a traditional autumn palette.

The bride's bouquet, designed by Phoenixville florist, MK Florals, fit right in with that vibe, with lots of texture from dried florals, eucalyptus, and soft grasses. The groom’s boutonniere carried over those same soft textures and neutral tones in a simple, understated way, tying his look back to the bride’s bouquet and the rest of the wedding colors.

GETTING READY MOMENTS

The bride popped champagne with her bridesmaids in coordinating rust-colored pajamas before slipping into a flowing long-sleeve gown she found at Lancaster Bridal Shop, POSH Bridal, with soft draping and an open neckline that felt elegant without being overly formal. Her relaxed updo (wedding glam by Beauty by Christine Darlis and Amanda McCauley) and simple accessories kept the look effortless, while the groom leaned into the more laid-back side of the day with a patterned tie, navy pants, topping off the outfit with an awesome pair of embroidered Vans (and of course the bride had a matching pair as well).

THE VENUE

This Elizabethtown, PA venue is one of those venues where you could probably spend the entire day taking photos and still not use every backdrop.

Between the vineyard rows, gardens, gazebos, mature trees, and that gorgeous greenhouse, there is so much variety packed into one property. The couple made the most of it too, with portraits everywhere from inside the greenhouse to the vineyard at sunset.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony took place outside beneath the venue’s black wrought-iron gazebo, which was covered in soft white florals and greenery.

The rust-colored bridesmaid dresses looked so good against the garden setting, while the groomsmen kept things a little more relaxed with cream shirts, navy pants, patterned ties, and white sneakers.

It all felt warm and seasonal without screaming fall wedding, which I think is part of what made the whole look work so well.

This is where St. Michael’s Vineyard really showed off.

The couple took portraits among the vineyard rows, underneath string lights tucked into the trees, in front of the white gazebo, and inside that incredible green greenhouse.

The greenhouse photos are easily some of my favorites from the day. Between the ironwork, chandeliers, huge windows, and all that natural light, the pictures feel like a dream.

RECEPTION DETAILS

The reception brought in a whole different feel.

Exposed wood beams and chandeliers made the space feel warm and cozy, while the couple carried those rust and neutral tones into the tables and decor.

But the music-inspired details were probably my favorite part.

Guests found their seats on a vinyl record seating chart, with each table named after a different musician or band. The theme continued with a record-style guest book, and it was such a fun way to bring their love for music into the day.

As the night progressed, the dance floor was packed, thanks to BnB Light & Sound, hands were in the air, and the relaxed feel from earlier in the day had fully shifted into party mode.

To top off the night, Lancaster Cupcake pulled up with their pink cupcake truck, which is both a very cute wedding detail and a sure way to keep your guests happy.
