Why You Need to Book A Bridal Boudoir Session with Eileen C. Wenger Photography

Over the centuries, boudoir photography has evolved from initially being reserved for the elite to embracing a more inclusive vision, celebrating the beauty and confidence of women from all walks of life. I am telling you, Eileen Wenger gets this vision. She passionately believes every woman is beautiful, just the way they are, no matter what ridiculous standards society pushes. By the end of this post, if you were on the fence about booking a bridal boudoir session, I am confident you will be convinced to just go for it.

Eileen C. Wenger Photography is owned and run by Eileen Wenger. She focuses on lifting women up through clean and classy bridal boudoir photography. She describes her style as light, bright and airy.

Eileen is a badass Lancaster local who loves pitbulls, collecting tattoos and celebrating the small things (champagne and cake anyone?). After the birth of her first daughter, Eileen worked her butt off cleaning houses, until one day she decided it wasn’t for her anymore. She simply hated it. Her Grandma had gifted her a camera for her birthday and she went for it. After some courses and encouragement from her husband, she started to photograph families, but she still wanted more.

One weekend, Eileen, along with her best friend and a few other women, rented an Airbnb to shoot some boudoir sessions. The weekend turned into a boudoir shoot marathon with hair, make-up and lingerie. For the first time, Eileen saw what she could do to help women love themselves. It was transformational. After that weekend, it was decided she would focus on boudoir photography.

Although she is open to any type of boudoir photography, her real niche is bridal boudoir. Eileen holds all of her sessions at the Leaf & Loft studio in Lancaster, PA. She has recently started to carry lingerie and is working on building a client closet. For those looking to purchase lingerie for the shoot, Eileen’s clients get a 10% discount at Lancaster’s local boutique, Hidden Intimates.

“My goal is to empower women

to love their body how it is.”

What really separates boudoir from bridal boudoir are the props. She really focuses on all things bridal, think diamond rings, veils, garters, florals and anything else you want to incorporate. The more you bring, the better!

When asked how she makes her brides comfortable, Eileen quickly answered, “I’m weird!” She does all she can to lighten the mood. One way she accomplishes this is to demonstrate every pose for the bride. These poses are often awkward to get in and out of for anyone and Eileen is sure to have her client laughing by the end of it. Eileen makes it laid back and fun, as it should be. Think of it as “a party in your underwear”.

Eileen doesn’t photoshop her images. Her goal is “to empower women to love their body how it is.” She does, however, understand that every woman has her own insecurities. Through specific poses and with different props, Eileen knows how to get the perfect shot to flatter each of her clients and have them feeling like a goddess.

I met up with Eileen at a coffee shop, after some exchanges on Instagram. This was our first time meeting, and she went right in for a hug, as if we were old friends catching up. If that’s the type of energy Eileen brings over a cup of matcha, imagine how comfortable she could make you feel in the studio.

Eileen pours her heart and soul into getting women to believe that they are beautiful, no matter what. She so badly wants every woman to know just how absolutely stunning they are. That’s exactly why she does what she does.

So go book your bridal boudoir session today. Or as Eileen would say, “Just go freakin’ do it!
